In the #RealWorldABA sometimes our achievements don’t ‘look’ the way we think they should! Some people may give up... they may say, “A 4 yr old should be able to say ‘Blow more bubbles 😪I can’t believe he is only saying /buh/...” BREATHE! In the real world it never happens the way we expect it! We need to celebrate the successes and trust that there will be more to come. Look at my dessert.... I’m genuinely embarrassed to show my husband... but instead of tossing it I’m going to serve it tomorrow for dessert... and begin shaping my behaviour until I achieve a socially appropriate representation of food. So have fun, breathe, and laugh when something happens unexpectedly!
